In this article we discuss about eight kinds of adjectives or kinds of adjectives with examples. 

Eight Kinds Of Adjectives

1. Proper Adjective

Proper adjectives are produced from proper noun or it is a modifier that derived from proper noun. Begin with a letter. e.g. Indian, British, Tribal, Martian etc.

e.g.

I am an Indian.

I love Turkish songs.

2. Descriptive Adjective 

Qualitative/Descriptive adjectives show us the quality of person, place or thing.  e.g. honest, lovely, cleaver, small, etc.

e.g.

He is an honest man.

This is a huge building.

3. Quantitative Adjective 

These Adjectives show or tell us that how much quantity a thing is meant.

e.g. some, none, little, any, much, full etc.

e.g.

I have enough money for myself.

Their are some people.

4. Numeral Adjective/ Adjectives of number

Adjectives show the number or number of people or number of things.

e.g. Four, some, first, a few, all, many etc.

e.g.

He has two cars and one scooty.

Today a few students were present in the classroom.

It is divided further into two categories.

1. Definite : It refers some exact number. i.e. one, five, ten, hundred etc.
2. Indefinite : It refers without exact number. i.e. some, many, none, all etc.

5. Demonstrative Adjective 

Demonstrative adjectives are that, this, those, these, such, which are used to point out nouns are meant.

e.g.

This pen is better than that one.

Those plants are mine.

6. Distributive Adjective

Distributive Adjectives refers to each one of the group.

e.g. every, either, each etc.

e.g.

Every question is compulsory.

Each player was given a medal.

7. Interrogative Adjective 

Interrogative Adjectives are used with noun to ask questions. What, whose, which, are used in this.

e.g.

What time is it?

Whose mobile is this?

8. Possessive Adjective

Possessive Adjectives are used before noun. His, it, my, your, it's, their, are indicates  who possesses something.

e.g.

Their are four cows.

He written his own book.
